The short answer

HeySpeak is async voice feedback. You share a Magic Link, recipients answer by voice or writing in their browser without signing up, and spoken responses are processed into a transcript and summary. Use it when one focused answer can come before a meeting or form.

Common questions

What is HeySpeak?
HeySpeak collects asynchronous voice or written feedback through a Magic Link. You ask one question, share the link, and review spoken responses as audio, transcript, and a short summary. It is designed for focused questions in research, sales, and audience participation.
How does HeySpeak work?
Write one question, create the link, and share it. The recipient answers in a supported browser without creating a HeySpeak account. After a spoken response is submitted, the recording is processed into a transcript and summary for your dashboard.
Do recipients need an account to record a voice note?
No. The receiver opens in a supported mobile or desktop browser. Voice recording requires browser microphone permission, but there is no HeySpeak signup or app installation for the respondent.
Is HeySpeak GDPR compliant?
A product cannot make every customer use case GDPR-compliant by itself. Review HeySpeak's current data-protection page and processor terms, then determine your own purpose, lawful basis, respondent notice, access, and retention. Seek qualified advice for sensitive use cases.
Where is my voice data hosted?
See the current data-protection page for the live list of infrastructure providers, subprocessors, and processing regions. Architecture can change, so that page and the contractual documents are the source of record.
Does HeySpeak use my voice data to train AI models?
See the current data-protection page and processor terms for the applicable training and retention commitments. Review both HeySpeak's terms and the terms of the AI product tier used for processing.
Who can listen to a voice note I receive?
Responses are private to the authenticated account workflow rather than published as public pages. Anyone you give account access or exported audio to may also be able to hear it, so keep your own access and reuse process narrow.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan covers your first Magic Links and responses with no card needed, so you can run a real customer interview round before committing. Paid plans unlock higher limits and longer retention. See the pricing page for current numbers.
When should I use a voice note instead of a real call?
Use async voice for one focused question that can be answered without real-time follow-up. Use a call for negotiation, sensitive conversations, or interviews where the next question depends on the previous answer.
How is HeySpeak different from Loom, Typeform, or Calendly?
Loom is mainly for sending a recorded explanation. Typeform is strong for structured fields and quantitative surveys. Calendly schedules a live conversation. HeySpeak collects one asynchronous spoken or written answer and adds a transcript and summary to spoken responses.
Will prospects actually record a voice note for me?
Some will and some will not. Relationship, trust, timing, channel, and the question all affect response. Start with a small warm group, explain why you chose them, and compare voice with your current method before expanding the campaign.
Can I follow up on a voice answer?
Yes. Send another focused question or invite the person to a live call when the first answer needs clarification. A calendar link can be added to a Magic Link when configured.
